Things to Do: Snowshoe at Mt Seymour

Mount Seymour is one of the local mountains in North Vancouver.  After sleeping in and having a lazy morning, you can still escape with a local adventure to Mount Seymour.  It was a great place to do our easy snowshoe hike to the First Lake.  I put on the snowshoes and it felt like suddenly I had "big" feet.  I could run awkwardly in them but boy could I climb off trail.  I have MSR Ascent Snowshoes and they are amazing on powdered snow and as its name says to ascent and descent.  I can't wait for more snow so I can snowshoe in fresh powdered snow conditions. 

I've been to Mount Seymour a few times, but this time I could really see the beauty of the scenery and sunset.  It is so picturesque on a clear day!  We were only snowshoeing for a few hours but it felt like a full day because it was so amazing and refreshing to be outside in nature on a winter's day.
