Vancouver Restaurant: Rogue Kitchen and Wetbar

Rogue Kitchen and Wetbar is a much talked about downtown Vancouver restaurant and bar.  It's conveniently located at Waterfront Skytrain Station in Gastown and is a bustling and active place to be on a Friday night.  Normally I go to restaurants where I have a coupon, however, at the Rogue, the prices are surprisingly reasonable.  Be sure to go get your table early on a Friday night before it gets full or bring more than 6 friends so you can make online reservations.  Once you taste the food, you'll understand why it's so busy.  I'm sure people go there for the drinks, but don't shortchange the food.
The Friday night drink special is the lynchburg lemonade pitcher for $13.99.  I love lemonade!  Better yet when it's spiked and you don't know it!

First we started with an appetizer of Fries x 3 - gorgonzola and cream, poutine, and truffle oil with parmesan.  Quite unique flavours!  I'm a traditionalist liking poutine the best.  Fun to try the trio though.
Then for our main courses we each had something different.  I had the pulled pork sandwich with a 'nice' little salad.  I have to agree that it was a lovely salad.  Nice light seasoned dressing and flavorful.  I was surprised to see this at a bar style restaurant.  The pulled port was tender and juicy and the bbq sauce gave it a nice 'kick'.

My friends had the halibut and caesar salad (instead of chips) and the grilled bacon and three cheese sandwich.   You can find the full menu at the Rogue Kitchen and Wetbar
