Beautiful British Columbia. "One of the best places on earth."
During your visit here, one of the highlights is taking the ferry from Vancouver to Victoria. Victoria is BC's capitol and has a strong British influence downtown and a quaint small city atmosphere. There are a lot of different highlights and reasons to go to Victoria.
1. BC Ferries Journey: The 1 hour and 35 minute ferry ride is absolutely beautiful on a sunny day. I've been several times and I never tire of the view. Bring your camera to capture the scenery. You never know what you'll see from orca whales, ferries, islands, mountains. Don't miss out on this adventure!
2. Legislature Buildings: When you visit the province's capitol city, you want to see what it has to offer by seeing BC's Legislature Buildings. The buildings often ofter daily tours so you can go inside and learn more about how the government runs. The view is nice during the day or night.
3. Huntingdon Hotel and Suites: Finding a place to stay that is close to the heart of downtown and is reasonably priced is difficult in most major cities. The last time I went to Victoria I was pleasantly surprised by this quaint hotel called Huntingdon Hotel and Suites. I found the hotel by using Tourism British Columbia's Hello BC website. The location is next door to the Legislature Buildings and in a fairly quiet area that is still walking distance to downtown. The hotel has character and has wonderful friendly service. They were able to quickly accommodate me to return to the room after we checked out so we could find our missing wallet. That was a HUGE relief and we left the hotel with a smile. Take a look and you'll feel like you are staying in a castle.
