Hiking: Bowen Lookout at Cypress Mountain

It was a gorgeous afternoon and we decided to go to Cypress Mountain Provincial Park in October to hike to Bowen Lookout which is along the Howe Sound Crest Trail.  This was quite a delight because the view of Howe Sound is absolutely amazing!  The trail is only 3 km return trip which isn't far for the scenery.  Trekking poles definitely helped me since I haven't hiked a mountain in years.

At Bowen Lookout, not only do you see the views but also the friendly birds who are overly zealous to see the hikers and picnikers or their leftover food.  Be careful though because those pretty birds have an attitude and will take food from your hand even if you don't want them to.

If you don't want to hike up to Bowen Lookout, you can see the beautiful nature at the base of the mountain and the Olympic Rings.  I never knew that there was such beauty on Cypress Mountain.  I can't wait to explore more of it.
