Things to Do: Everett Crowley Park

My friend asked me to go for a walk in Champlain Heights which is on the border of Burnaby.  It's a nice residential neighbourhood with parks to explore.  We started walking and found ourselves in Everett Crowley Park  which is one Parks and Nature Places Around Vancouver to explore.  It's a dog walkers paradise because there's lots of green space and if your dog is lucky, it'll find a dog friend to play with.  People are friendly and you can see lots of neat things if you really look around.

Due to the declining bee population, people are encouraged to plant more flowers and trees in their yards so bees can pollinate and survive.  Nestled in Everett Crowley Park is a handmade bee house which houses 150 bees made by the students in the local secondary school.  Nature is encouraged and alive in this park.

Flora and fauna are throughout the park.  Our big debate was "What is considered a weed and what is a flower?"  I found the flora and fauna to be beautiful even if they are traditionally known to be a weed.  You can take a look and decide for yourself.  Aren't these too beautiful to be a weed?

You can enjoy the scenic views of Richmond.  Since the shrubs are overgrown, don't hesitate to stand on a bench to get the good view and take a photo or two.
