Things to Do: Deer Lake Park and Burnaby Village Museum

Summer is here and there are so many things that you can do in your own city.  Burnaby is no exception.  One popular spot is Deer Lake Park.  What's convenient is that there is a large parking lot for the park and right across the street is Burnaby Village Museum. 
Here are some ideas for things to do when you are there:
*Picnic in the Park - pack a picnic, find a shady spot under a tree and enjoy the view
 *Stroll Century Gardens - best display of rhododendrons live here, great photo opportunity

 *Canoe in Deer Lake - rent a canoe or paddle boat for a few hours and enjoy being on the water

 *Walk around Deer Lake - well groomed trail leads you around the lake so you can enjoy the scenery

 *Visit Burnaby Village Museum - free admission until September 5th!
