Vancouver Urban Hike: Coal Harbour to Stanley Park

Spring is a time when the blossoms are blooming!  I'm ready for Spring to arrive.  I am tired of the winter blues working on Burnaby Mountain and the surprise snowfall in March.  It's not surprising that I jumped at the chance to go for a Vancouver Urban Walk in Stanley Park.  Sunny blue skies, mountains, ocean, and good conversation.

Vancouver Urban Hike:  Coal Harbour to Stanley Park
Time:  1 - 1.5 hours (based on fast walking pace)
Begin at Waterfront Skytrain Station.  Walk around the new Convention Center and follow the seawall walking/biking path through Coal Harbour. You'll pass the marina, float planes, and be able to see the view of the North Shore mountains along the way.
When we arrived at the entrance of Stanley Park, pretty cherry blossom trees greeted us.  We continued along the way until we reached the water park.  That is when we turned towards the aquarium to return downtown.  We returned downtown via Georgia St and Alberni Street to Burrard Skytrain Station.

Even though it was sunny, it was still cold so I was happy that I wore my fleece and rain jacket. I removed a layer towards the last half of the walk.  I didn't need my toque or gloves but I should have brought my sunscreen.
