I have to admit that I fell in love with the idea of traditional romance and was drawn to Twilight when it came out. I read the entire series and then patiently waited and watched each of the movies come out on the big screen. Now the saga is ending with Breaking Dawn. But they decided not to end it by breaking it up into 2 parts. Right now Breaking Dawn Part 1 is in movie theatres. The movie is still going strong after $138 million in just two short weeks. The theatre was packed with almost every seat full.
Why is this? The Rotten Tomatoes critics gave this movie a poor rating of 27%.
The audience rated the movie 74%. This is for the Twilight faithfuls and fans!
Why see it? It's a nice romantic fluff and even better if you have read the books because you know the background of the characters and have more insight into the culture of vampires and werewolves. It is a great escape!
Beware those, it is not for those who are faint of heart and do not believe in idealized love.
