Vancouver: Trout Lake

You don't have to go far to have a nice scenic stroll.  I enjoy Trout Lake because it is a 10 minute walk from Broadway/Commercial Skytrain Station and it is also home to the Trout Lake Farmer's Market on Saturdays.  Anyone can walk around Trout Lake - it is an easy walk and there are a couple of lake view spots that are pretty quiet.  You can see people picnicking, dog walking, reading, and sunbathing.  Okay, I thought sunbathing was weird especially since the beach areas were closed with big signs that said "NO Swimming Hazardous Water".   I guess at least there are no crowds. 

Trout Lake is a quiet spot that has a country feel while being in the city.
