I love being a "tourist in my own town" in Vancouver, BC. Even though I've lived here for over 10 years, I enjoy seeing the sights and can appreciate the beauty and nature that Vancouver has to offer. Here is one of the tourist landmarks at English Bay. When you arrive at English Bay, you turn left, the opposite direction of Stanley Park and you will be able to find the Inukshuk monument. First let's learn a bit about what it is and the history of the monument.
This is the view of the Burrard Street bridge from the Inukshuk monument at English Bay. There is a walkway that goes from English Bay to Science world. It is a scenic walk on a nice spring or summer day. Don't forget to wear sunscreen and a hat!
Be careful of the of the tourist bikers and roller bladers who are trying it for the first time. They won't be able to stop. I saw a Japanese girl crash on her bike but she was fine. Big noise, no pain.
The Inukshuk monument in Vancouver has a beautiful backdrop of English Bay, West End, Stanley Park and the water. It is a beautiful view on a warm summer's day.
If the view is not enough, you can get silver or white gold Inukshuk souvenirs.
