What are some annual things to do in Vancouver? Here's one annual Vancouver dining event that you don't want to miss. Dine Out Vancouver 2011 is from January 24th to February 6th, 2011. Every year Vancouver restaurants open their doors to you and create set three-course menus at three different prices ranges. It's a good opportunity for some fine dining at Vancouver restaurants at affordable prices. Here are my top 3 picks for Dine Out Vancouver restaurants at $18 set menu price.
1. Wild Rice - Here's a Vancouver restaurant on the edge of Chinatown. It is not the most appealing area to have a fine dining restaurant but once inside you forget about what you left on the outside. It's a small, quaint restaurant which is known for its cocktails. They have Asian fusion or what they call "modern Chinese cuisine" that is well presented and great for a date or a couple of friends. The Wild Rice Dine Out menu has some fabulous looking food options, you want to make your reservation to experience something new from an old favourite.
2. Sanafir - This Vancouver restaurant is in the heart of downtown Vancouver. It has a unique ambiance that makes you feel like you're in upscale luxury. It might also be because of the beds that they have upstairs for their special clients or groups who enjoy a bit of privacy. "Sanafir's tapas menu offers exotic flavours showcasing North African, Asian, Middle Eastern, Mediterranean and Indian." The Sanafir Dine Out menu would give you an idea of one of the flavours but I think ordering tapas is more fun and you may wish to return to do the same. The ambiance of Sanafir will leave you with nice memories and don't forget to check out their cocktail selection.
3. Rocky Mountain Flatbread Company - This casual, family friendly Vancouver restaurant is located in Kitsilano. They make the pizza from a wood burning stove and the ingredients for all of the food items are local and fresh. You can bring a group to this place to have pizza fun. Check out the Rocky Mountain Flatbread Dine Out menu and after you go, you'll realize that it's affordable to return on a regular basis.
