June is a great month to take the BC Ferries sailing from Tswassen to Swartz Bay for a visit to Sidney or Victoria. June 2-26 has a special BC Ferries CoastSaver promotion of $9.95 for one way passenger sailing from Thursday - Sunday ($39.95 if you wish to include vehicle and driver).
This makes traveling in June to enjoy Victoria worthwhile especially before the summer season and the pending rate hikes. Current rates for one way passenger is $14.25. Add $47.25 if you for vehicle. There has been news that this could increase this summer so my advice would be to enjoy the smooth sailing while it's affordable in June.
You may also want to take enjoy the view by dining in the Pacific Buffet. On my sailing back home I noticed a poster of a buffet deal for the 3pm sailing. $12 buffet. If I had known, I would have set sail on that sailing and not eaten lunch.
