It was a gorgeous sunny day for the Burnaby Rohdodendron Festival at the Shadbolt Center of Arts in Burnaby. The Burnaby Art Gallery and Deer Lake is at the same location. The festival was from 9am - 4pm and I caught the end of the festival. There were no more kite making supplies left for the kids but there was still entertainment, concert stage, information and plant sale tables. It was a great place to see spring flower bouquets, Ikebana (Japanese flower arranging) displays, and see beautiful flowers at the Centenial Gardens. The scenic landscape of Deer Lake and area are perfect for picnicing, kite flying, picture taking, and walking.
