Vancouver Pub Restaurant: Steamworks

Here is a lively Vancouver Pub Restaurant, Steamworks that is quite popular for after work office drinks conveniently located near Waterfront Skytrain Station in Gastown.  It's busy with a lively buzz.  At the same time, it has the elegance of a restaurant with the decor and water view.  Great for groups but remember to make your reservations especially if you are going there on a popular Friday night.

Virgin Margarita & Peach Daquiri
They have fancy and fabulous alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails.  White sangarias are worth a try.  I had a wonderful peach daquiri and my pregnant friend enjoyed a virgin strawberry margarita.  Pregnant or not, you can enjoy fancy cocktails at Steamworks.

Yam Fries
They have a lot of choices of appetizers for group sharing.  The stuffed mushrooms were baked to perfection and delicious.  Additional appetizers that we tried were yam fries drizzled with balsamic glaze, hot spicy chicken wings, and the spinach & crab dip.  All were tasty and worth trying.

Tandoori Chicken Salad
The most interesting salad that was at the table was the Tandoori Chicken salad.  The Shrimp and Mango salad was fresh and crisp.

Fish and Chips
There is a variety of regular pub fare for the main course.  Some choices at table were the chicken burger and fish and chips.  The burgers looked full and meaty.  The menu is extensive with pub and restaurant fare.  It's amazing that they can do both well.

It was fun to go with a group so I could see so many different meals and try different appetizers.  I would go back just to try different items on the menu.  The food was good.  I was full after that but I noticed great desserts brought out to other tables.  It would be a good place to go for drinks & dessert if you don't want a meal.
