Burnaby Restaurant: Kiku Sushi

Kiku Sushi is my local, small Japanese Restaurant in Burnaby.  It's located at 4986 Kingsway and has reasonable prices.  When I first went there I was drawn to their Winter Special Menu and tried the Winter California Roll.  Being different, it was baked with  a Japanese style cheese on top of the roll.  What a nice treat.  They also have the Winter Dynamite Roll.  Every time I go, I always order one of those special Winter Rolls.

Chicken Yakisoba

Then our usual is to order a Yakisoba for more of our main course.  It's a great way to have a light dinner that leaves you feeling satisfied and not the full (I ate too much) feeling.  Yakisoba has three options, Chicken, Beef or Vegetarian.  


Customer service is not the best but they are the regular servers who have their hands full especially during busy times.  It's a great place if you want to chat with friends and not be disturbed.  They get the basics done well which is seat you, take your order, and get the food to the table.  When you're ready to leave, I have found it's sometimes easier to just go to them than to wait for the bill.  

Overall I like the place and it's my treat away from home cooking.  The neighbourhood Kiku Sushi restaurant.
