What do you do on a Sunday afternoon? Tired of the crowds at the Eastside Culture Crawl?
Take a break in your "grandmother's living room" at the Prophouse Cafe at 1626 Venables St. It's an affordabe cafe that feels like home. They have old fashioned records in the back with a turntable so you can choose what to listen to, or if you prefer, you can play on the piano. Or ride the exercise bike from years ago. The decor has hanging chandeliers and lamps from the 60s. There is so much around you, you'll want to bring your laptop and stay to soak up the atmosphere. I know that I'll go back. It's a great place to meet friends and just hang out in the comfort.
Watch them create your drink from their unique espresso machine. My quiche with veggies and medium mocha all came to $8. Check out the reviews at Yelp and Urban Spoon.
